Maths Teacher

Outwood Academy Shafton is recruiting a full-time Maths Teacher to join its secondary school in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England. The role is scheduled to start on 1 January 2027.

The successful candidate will teach mathematics to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, plan engaging lessons, assess student progress, use performance data to improve learning outcomes, and work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high educational standards.

A degree in an appropriate subject and a recognised teaching qualification with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) are required.

Applicants should have recent relevant teaching experience, experience assessing students at Key Stages 3 and 4, strong communication skills, and the ability to use assessment data to improve student performance. An enhanced DBS check is required.
